1930’s House, West Wickham

The design of this Art Deco influenced interior was informed by both the clients – a very active and energetic retired couple who love to dance and who have an appreciation of the luxury, glamour and exuberance represented by the Art Deco style and the building’s 1930’s history. The house was originally built in the 1930’s but was bombed in the war and was completely re-built in the 1950’s, exactly replicating the original design. Bowerbird Design was appointed to totally re-design the sitting room and adjoining dining room including room layout, replastering, redecorating, new flooring, curtains, wallpaper, bespoke cabinets, furniture, and lighting. A mix of Art Deco antiques and more modern pieces gives the scheme a contemporary feel.
