Home Office, Forest Hill

A new build penthouse apartment in Forest Hill, South East London with expansive views out towards Kent and the surrounding area.  There was a severe lack of storage and the apartment had not been decorated since it was built, so it was really a blank canvass.  With the owner starting to work from home there was an urgent need to create a usable office space which had to double up as a spare room for guests to stay.  Inspiration came from the client’s love of 1950’s prints and furniture which was used to create a modern take on the era. Wallpaper and fabric by Sanderson and paint in 1950’s Marine Blue and a sunny ‘Mister David’ yellow by Little Greene brightened the place up and gave it much needed personality. Over the desk area a bespoke shelf was created by re-using off cuts of timber and a magnetic ‘white’ board in the same marine blue made the home office an attractive but functional space. A bespoke wall of storage was created to house everything from Anoraks to Zed beds!
